Harvick Holds Off Logano to Win Third Straight NASCAR XFINITY Race in Atlanta

If you had to pick one driver to knock Joey Logano off his pedestal at Atlanta Motor Speedway, you couldn’t make a better choice than Kevin Harvick.

Holding off Logano after a restart on Lap 140 of 163, Harvick won Saturday’s Hisense 250 NASCAR XFINITY Series race, ending a success streak that saw Logano beat Harvick for the win in the Daytona 500 and edge Harvick for the Coors Light Pole for Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 (1 p.m. ET on FOX) at Atlanta Motor Speedway. XFINITY Debuts At Daytona

The wait is over.

Following its landmark 10-year deal, announced in September of last year, XFINITY will make its debut as the title sponsor for the nation’s series where “Names are Made Here” and is like nothing else in major pro sports.  XFINITY becomes only the third title sponsor in the program’s history, following Anheuser-Busch (1982-2007) and Nationwide Insurance (2008-2014).  Continue reading

Kenseth holds off Larson for Nationwide win at Homestead, as Penske wins owner’s title

Charging away from a pack of pursuers on the final restart, Matt Kenseth scored his first NASCAR Nationwide Series win since October of last year in Saturday’s Ford EcoBoost 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Chase Elliott, who had clinched the driver’s championship last Saturday in Phoenix, finished 17th after scraping the outside wall late in the race. Brad Keselowski delivered the Nationwide Series owner’s championship to Roger Penske with an eighth-place result in the No. 22 Team Penske Ford. Continue reading
