Can-Am Duel Set For Thursday Night

On Thursday night  NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers will compete in the Can-Am Duels to set the rest of the field for the Daytona 500. Watch all the action at Daytona International Speedway tonight at 7 pm ET on FOX Sports 1.

Last Sunday’s qualifying set the front row, with Chase Elliott on the pole and Matt Kenseth starting second, but the Can-Am Duels will lock in spots three through 40 for the Daytona 500. Continue reading

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series – Maximum 40-car field (36 Charter team cars, 4 Open team cars), race winner awarded 40 points, 40th place awarded one point.

NASCAR XFINITY Series – Maximum 40-car field, race winner awarded 40 points, 40th place awarded one point.

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series – Maximum 32-truck field, race winner awarded 32 points, 32nd place awarded one point

New points systems apply to driver, owner, and manufacturer championships. Existing 2015 Bonus points remain in place for 2016. Continue reading
