After coming off an 18th place finish at the season-opening race at Daytona, Ryan Vargas and JD Motorsports with Gary Keller found themselves without a primary partner for the second race of the season at the Daytona Road Course. Vargas took to social media to try and attract potential partners, and the answer came flying in from the end zone.

While the race didn’t necessarily bring the insanity people were expecting after wreck-filled Xfinity and Truck Series races, the track did give an exhibition of driver skill in its first Cup Series Daytona Road Course event. Chase Elliott grabbed a huge win, his second of the season, and a few drivers picked up some big points in the race as well.
