Johnson Says Victory at Indy for Gordon is Possible

Don’t put anything past Jeff Gordon.

That advice comes from someone who ought to know, Gordon’s former teammate and six-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson.

Gordon will be pressed into service next weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway if Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s concussion-like symptoms persist past this Sunday’s New Hampshire 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (1:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN), where Alex Bowman is driving the No. 88 Chevrolet in Earnhardt’s absence. #NASCAR XFINITY Series Ollie’s Bargain Outlet 200 at Dover Preview

NASCAR XFINITY Series teams are preparing for the third Dash 4 Cash race, Ollie’s Bargain Outlet 200 at Dover International Speedway on Saturday, May 14th, which includes two heat races at 40 laps each and the main event of 120 laps. FOX coverage begins at 2 pm ET with radio coverage on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.

It’s Baaaaack: Dash 4 Cash Returns

Another $100,000 bonus is on the line this weekend at Dover International Speedway as the NASCAR XFINITY Series Dash 4 Cash will be in full swing for the third round of the popular 2016 program – Saturday’s Ollies Bargain Outlet 200.

The XFINITY Series Dash 4 Cash includes Two Heats and a Main at four tracks this season: Bristol Motor Speedway (April 16), Richmond International Raceway (April 23), Dover International Speedway (May 14) and Indianapolis Motor Speedway (July 23). Continue reading →

Tony Stewart is Back to Racing at Richmond this Weekend

Tony Stewart has been cleared by his doctors and NASCAR to return to racing, effective immediately. He will drive the No. 14 Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy Chevrolet SS fielded by Stewart-Haas Racing throughout this weekend’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event at Richmond (Va.) International Raceway.

Stewart missed the first eight races of the season after sustaining a burst fracture of the L1 vertebra in a Jan. 31 all-terrain vehicle accident. The prescribed rehabilitation regimen instituted by his doctors following a March 9 evaluation proved successful, allowing the three-time series champion to return for his final Sprint Cup season. Dash 4 Cash Heat Racing Debuts for NASCAR XFINITY Series at Bristol

Chase Berth and $1,000,000 on the Line in Four Dash 4 Cash Events 

The NASCAR XFINITY Series will take racing back to its roots with Heat races, beginning with the first of four Dash 4 Cash events Saturday, April 16, at Bristol Motor Speedway starting at 12:30 pm ET on FOX Sports 1, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. 

NASCAR XFINITY Series drivers will compete in one of two 50-lap Heat races to become eligible to win $100,000 in the 200-lap Main event. As in years past, the potential for a $1,000,000 total payout stands. New for this year, a driver who wins multiple Dash 4 Cash bonuses will earn a spot in the 2016 NASCAR XFINITY Series Chase, provided he/she remains eligible per the NASCAR rule book.  Continue reading →
