James Buescher Ready with RAB for 2014 Nationwide Season

James Buescher is coming off three successful full-time seasons in NASCAR’s Camping World Truck Series, including a championship with four wins in 2012, adding two more victories in 2013. He also recorded one Nationwide Series win, taking the checkered flag in the 2012 series’ season-opening race at Daytona International Speedway.

For 2014, Buescher is excited about his new team, RAB Racing. They announced in December a multi-year agreement to compete full-time in the Nationwide Series. Buescher understands the importance of his experience as he looks forward to his future. Continue reading

All that and more, make the Nationwide Series Preseason Thunder test a major success this weekend at Daytona International Speedway. Twenty-five cars turned laps on the 2.5 mile high banks Saturday and Sunday, as teams tune up for the season-opening Drive4COPD 300 on Feb 22 at 1:15pm, broadcast on ESPN, MRN and Sirius XM NASCAR Radio, channel 90. A season full of first-time winners added another name to the list Friday night at Phoenix when Erik Jones drove into victory lane. Jones, 17, has been competing on a part-time basis in the Camping World Truck Series with Kyle Busch Motorsports this season. A runner-up finish at Iowa earlier in the season showed Jones’ potential and now a win marks his presence in NASCAR. Continue reading

Ty Dillon was in a race of his own Friday night at the Texas Motor Speedway. The No.3 truck absolutely crushed the field throughout the event en route to Dillon’s second victory of the season. He is doing all he can at this point in the season to chase down points leader Matt Crafton. The clock struck one for rookie Darrell Wallace Jr. on Saturday afternoon at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway, as he earned his first career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series win in the Kroger 250.

By claiming the victory, Wallace Jr., who turned 20 on October 8 became the first African-American driver to win a NASCAR national touring series event since Wendell Scott won in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) on December 1, 1963 in Jacksonville, Fla., a span of five decades. Continue reading
