Rookie Daniel Suárez Scores Back-to-Back Fourth-Place Finishes at Kentucky Speedway

After a top-five finish in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series’ UNOH 225 on Friday night, Daniel Suárez returned to Kentucky Speedway on Saturday to compete in the Kentucky 300 with the NASCAR XFINITY Series. His fourth-place finish in the Camping World Truck Series was his fourth series’ top-five of the year and Suárez intended to bring that momentum to his next race of the weekend. Kyle Busch Masters New Aero Package in Sprint Cup Win at Kentucky

 

Adapting adroitly to a new competition package for NASCAR Sprint Cup Series cars, Kyle Busch sped to victory in Saturday night’s Quaker State 400 at Kentucky Speedway, taking a giant step toward the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup with his second victory since returning from an 11-race injury absence.

Busch won for the 31st time in his career and the second time at the 1.5-mile track. Race runner-up Joey Logano was the only interloper in a top-five that also included all four Joe Gibbs Racing drivers—Busch, Denny Hamlin in third, Carl Edwards in fourth and Matt Kenseth in fifth. Crew Chief Swap Is Expected To Turn Season Around For RCR

Starting this weekend at Daytona International Speedway, the crew chiefs for Richard Childress Racing’s No. 3 and 33 cars will look a little different. That’s because they are switching between the teams; a good old-fashioned swap. Now Danny Stockman Jr. will lead the No. 33 Chevrolet team with driver Austin Dillon, and Nick Harrison will now serve as crew chief for the No. 3 team with driver Ty Dillon.  Continue reading
