Edwards Notches First Road Course Victory at Sonoma

A well-timed caution helped get Carl Edwards to the front of the field, and the driver of the No. 99 Roush Fenway Ford did the rest.

Edwards passed Marcos Ambrose for the lead moments after a restart on lap 86 and later held off a charging Jeff Gordon to win Sunday’s Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway.  Continue reading

Six-time Champion Jimmie Johnson Could Earn Third Win of the Season at Pocono

Although some were wondering, 11 winless races in the season were never a concern for Jimmie Johnson and his No. 48 team.

Jimmie Johnson Dominates the Monster with Back-to-Back Wins

It came as little surprise that Jimmie Johnson was able to dominate the field Sunday at Dover International Speedway, a track where he has won nine NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races, more than any driver in NASCAR history.

Johnson Reclaims Charlotte Glory with Superb Coca-Cola 600 Performance

From lap one to lap 400, Sunday night at Charlotte Motor Speedway belonged solely to Jimmie Johnson. Johnson and his No. 48 team dominated as they perfectly executed a game plan en route to their first victory of the year.

Rarely does this team go too far into the season without scoring a victory. However, the team wasn’t fazed by the somewhat slow start this year. Demonstrating their strength as team in this race, Johnson once again proved why he’s a six-time champion. Continue reading
