2015 Awards Set for Dec. 4 at Wynn Las Vegas; DAYTONA Rising / NASCAR Motorsports Marketing Forum Schedules Dates in Las Vegas, Daytona Beach 

NASCAR® announced today that the annual NASCAR Sprint Cup Series™ Awards – and all of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion’s Week™ – will return to Las Vegas in 2015 as part of a renewed partnership with the destination. The agreement ensures that Las Vegas will continue hosting the week-long celebration, offering fans and industry members a chance to see the sport’s stars and congratulate the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion. Matt Kenseth Wins at Pocono as Kyle Busch Runs Out of Fuel

Matt Kenseth, the unexpected winner of Sunday’s Windows 10 400 at Pocono Raceway, had to do a double take.

So did second and third-place finishers Brad Keselowski and Jeff Gordon.

Kenseth got a gift on the last lap of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race when Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Kyle Busch ran out of fuel halfway through the last lap at the 2.5-mile triangular track. Continue reading →

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series

  • The No. 98 team has been assessed a P3 level penalty for having an unattached weight leave the car during practice on July 24 (Sections 12:1; 12.5.3.3.1; 20.3.5). Crew chief Scott Eggleston has been fined $25,000; suspended from the next NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Championship points race; and placed on NASCAR probation through Dec. 31. Car chief Kevin Eagle has been suspended from the next NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Championship points race and placed on NASCAR probation through Dec. 31. Car owner Mike Curb will lose 15 championship car owner points.
