Ernest Pierce, a crew member in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, has been indefinitely suspended from NASCAR for violating the sanctioning body’s Substance Abuse Policy.

On June 17, 2015, Pierce was found to have violated Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 19 (violation of the NASCAR Substance Abuse Policy) of the 2015 NASCAR Rule Book.

NASCARlogo NASCAR has reinstated former NASCAR Nationwide Series crew member Robert (Robbie) S. Harrison upon his successful completion of NASCAR’s Substance Abuse Policy Road to Recovery Program. Harrison had been indefinitely suspended from NASCAR on May 30, 2013 for violating the sanctioning body’s substance abuse policy.
