We’re chatting about all the hottest topics and what fans can expect at the track over the upcoming weekend of racing at Texas Motor Speedway for the eighth race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series,as well as the XFINITY and Camping World Truck Series. The XFINITY Series and the K&N Pro Series West teams return to action next week at Phoenix for their season finale..

When possible, we’ll bring  guests from around the NASCAR world to give their perspective too.

Spencer Gallagher Perseveres a Challenging Day at Martinsville Speedway

On their last short track race on the season, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Spencer Gallagher and his GMS Team made the most of a challenging day by racing his No. 23 into the top-ten and as high as third before a late race incident and battery issues at Martinsville Speedway on Saturday afternoon.

Gallagher started the Kroger  from 20th-place, with typical Martinsville racing and early cautions. During  the second caution flag on lap 35, Gallagher brought the No. 23 on pit road with the crew taking care of a tight on exit on throttle issue with four tires and a track bar adjustment. Although the tight condition was still present, a rare forward bite allowed Gallagher to race his way to 13th by the fourth caution on lap 74.  Continue reading

Winless in 2015, Chase Elliott Remains in Hunt for Second Consecutive XFINITY Series Title

Chase Elliott took the NASCAR XFINITY (then Nationwide) Series by storm in 2014, winning three races en route to capturing the championship in his rookie campaign.

Elliott won his first race at Texas Motor Speedway and followed that up the following week with a victory at Darlington. After winning the standalone race at Chicagoland, the 18th event of the 2014 campaign, Elliott re-took the championship lead and never looked back on his way to winning the title.

Fast forward to 2015, and the story has been a bit different for the 19-year-old driver. Elliott has yet to visit victory lane in the No. 9 NAPA Auto Parts Chevrolet, nor has he led the championship standings after 23 of 33 races. Continue reading
