Kligerman Heads NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Standings

Two races into the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season, Parker Kligerman leads the standings by one point over Daniel Hemric on the strength of a third-place (Daytona) and eighth-place (Atlanta) finish. Following Hemric is John Hunter Nemechek (-3 points behind Kligerman), Timothy Peters (-6) and Tyler Young (-8).

Although Kligerman ranks first in points, Nemechek and Johnny Sauter are the only drivers who have earned berths in the Camping World Truck Series Chase, via their wins at Atlanta and Daytona, respectively.

Sauter Wins Wild Camping World Truck Series Opener at Daytona

With the No. 4 Toyota of Christopher Bell barrel-rolling through Turn 1 behind him, Johnny Sauter nosed ahead in his No. 21 Chevrolet and had more than a car-length lead when NASCAR called the last caution of the NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway.

With the victory, Sauter is all but guaranteed a spot in the first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Chase, a seven-race playoff modeled after the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.
