Driver Germán Quiroga will return to Red Horse Racing at Texas Motor Speedway. Quiroga will step behind the wheel of the No. 11 Toyota Tundra for the June 10 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at the Fort Worth, Texas facility, and possibly additional races if sponsorship can be secured.

“We’re very excited to welcome Germán back to the Red Horse family,” said team owner Tom DeLoach. “We have a great opportunity to get him back behind the wheel and if sponsorship can be found, we hope to be able to run several more races with him.”

Quiroga piloted the No. 77 Toyota Tundra for Red Horse Racing in 2013 and 2014, recording five top-five finishes, including a third-place finish at Texas Motor Speedway in 2013, 16 top-tens and one pole position.

“I’m very happy to return to Red Horse Racing,” said Quiroga. “I hope we can put together a great run at Texas (Motor Speedway) and that we will be able to put something together so I can keep competing this season.”

Matt Tifft will also return to Red Horse Racing for several additional races this season, yet to be announced.

Penalized For Violation At Pocono Raceway

Penalties have been levied to the No. 17 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team following last Saturday’s race at Pocono Raceway.

The No. 17 truck was found to have violated Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing); 12-4J (any determination by NASCAR officials that the race equipment used in the event does not conform to the NASCAR rules detailed in Section 20B of the NASCAR rule book); and 20B-12.8.1A (the roof failed to meet the minimum height requirement during post-race inspection) of the 2013 rule book.

As a result of this violation, crew chief Butch Hylton has been fined $5,000. The team has also been docked six championship driver (Timothy Peters) points and six championship truck owner (Tom DeLoach) points.
