BRISTOL, Tenn. – Passing John Hunter Nemechek for the lead on lap 196 of 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway, Johnny Sauter picked up his series-best fifth victory of the season, along with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series regular-season championship, but fellow two-time champion Matt Crafton wasn’t about to begrudge Sauter his success. Late-Race Pass Propels Ben Kennedy to First Career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Win

Ben Kennedy stole the lead from William Byron with 20 laps to go in Wednesday night’s UNOH 200 and later withstood an intense six-lap shootout with Brett Moffitt to the finish line to earn his first career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway.

With his triumph in his 63rd career series start, Kennedy, the great-grandson of NASCAR Founder Bill France Sr., became the first France family member to win a NASCAR national series race. Continue reading →

Ryan Blaney Battles Back from Penalty for Thrilling Victory at Bristol

A spin with four laps to go in Wednesday night’s UNOH 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway proved as a saving grace for Brad Keselowski Racing’s Ryan Blaney, who grabbed the lead on a green-white-checkered restart to win his first race of the 2015 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season.

Blaney recovered from an early race penalty for jumping a restart to find himself closing on leader Matt Crafton with five laps remaining. When Ty Dillon spun on lap 196, it triggered the last caution of the night and the opportunity for Blaney to steal Crafton’s thunder. On the last restart, Crafton’s truck sputtered, failing to come up to speed, allowing Blaney to take off and seal his fourth career Camping World Truck Series victory. Continue reading →
