Kyle Busch was in the perfect place for his perfect storm!

As one reads the November 10, 2011 press release from Joe Gibbs Racing and M&M’s, it seems, Kyle Busch has much to be Thankful for this Thanksgiving.

Most, including his fans are aware of Kyle’s history of retaliation on the track and polarizing personality off the track.  In retrospect, it seems his latest retaliation with Ron Hornaday at Texas Motor Speedway last Friday was the culmination of the ‘perfect storm’.

What follows, it turns out, is the beginning of the rest of Kyle Busch’s career in redeeming his anger management issues.  Here’s the short version of what happened next.  Kyle issued an open letter of apology for his actions. NASCAR parked Kyle for the weekend and on Monday put him on probation and fined him $50,000.  In essence, NASCAR put the matter of Kyle Busch in the hands of his owner, Joe Gibbs.

Many speculated throughout the week, ‘what would be Kyle’s fate?’ Would he be suspended by Joe Gibbs or would his sponsors drop him like a hot potato?  Sponsors were not very happy with their driver as statements appeared from M&M’s, Dollar General and ZLine.  All of them, stating they were disappointed in Kyle’s Busch’s behavior and expressed their feelings with Joe Gibbs Racing.

What happens next is up to Kyle Busch. He’s been given a gift within this perfect storm.  The gift is the opportunity to redeem his career and deal head on with his anger management issues.  It won’t be easy and it won’t happen overnight.  It’s been said “all things happen for a reason.”  Although, Ron Hornaday won’t be winning a Championship this year, this may end up being the best thing to happen to Kyle Busch.  Will we see his Thankfulness in his actions?  Time will tell the rest of this story.  Stay tuned!
