CE Falk was recently thrust into the spotlight this past week, but not in the way he anticipated while leading the Whelen All-American Series race as part of the UNOH Battle at the Beach on Monday night. With some hard racing in the final lap of the race, he was the recipient of a bump ‘n run move followed by a controversial spin by race winner Kyle Larson.
Following the race and despite the disappointing loss, CE Falk handled the incident well, but knew he had just cashed out the expense of a damaged car versus cashing in with another well-earned victory for him and his team.
CE Falk III is the son of former Busch Series racer Eddie Falk and nephew of former Sprint Cup Series team owner Joe Falk. With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, the younger Falk also graduated with honors from Norfolk Academy.
Carrying on the family tradition of racing, CE Falk is considered one of the best young Late Model Stock Car drivers in the country. Winning five Virginia state karting championships and the 2002 national karting championship led Falk to the Legend car ranks. In just three years he won over 50 races, and took the championship in 2005. Moving on to Late Model Stock car racing, Falk earned more than 100 top-five finishes with 49 wins.
At Langley Speedway in Virginia, CE Falk is considered a consummate title contender of NASCAR’s Whelen All-American Series, winning three consecutive track championships in 2009, 2010 and 2011. Racing against some of the best Sprint Cup drivers, Falk also won the 2010 Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown and one of his most recent wins was in 2012, when he won the Danville Toyota 300.
In 2013, CE Falk is expected to run some Camping World Truck Series races and hopes to bring his winning ways with him as he continues to carry on his family tradition of racing.
On Monday, February 25th, CE Falk will be our guest on Fan2Fan NASCAR Talk with our Fan4Racing team. So get your questions ready to interact with CE Falk on our special 1.5 hour episode, which begins a half-hour earlier than usual at 8:30pm ET.
