‘X Factor’ Winner Tate Stevens to Perform National Anthem at April 21 STP 400

Season Two X Factor winner Tate Stevens is returning home to sing the national anthem prior to the April 21, 2013 STP 400. Stevens, who hails from Belton, Mo., is making his first appearance at Kansas Speedway prior to two concerts in Kansas City on April 21 and April 22, and the release of his debut album on April 23, 2013.

“I’m excited to have Tate perform the national anthem at his ‘hometown’ track,” said Kansas Speedway President Patrick Warren. “I know our fans will give him a great reception.”

Stevens’ first hometown concert in Kansas City, scheduled for the evening of April 21, sold out in 30 minutes, leading him to add a second concert on April 22. He will also make several appearances in conjunction with the release of his self titled album before joining country music star Alan Jackson on several tour dates this year. The album includes Stevens’ current single “Power of a Love Song,” which is currently airing on country radio.

Kansas Speedway season tickets, which are currently on sale, include both NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races (April 21 and Oct. 6), the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race (April 20), and the NASCAR Nationwide Series race (Oct. 5), along with a TrackPass, which allows you up close access to the Kansas National Guard pre-race activities, like NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver introductions, the pre-race concert, and much more! Kansas Speedway’s 2013 season includes two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races,  the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series the NASCAR Nationwide Series, the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards (Oct. 4) and new in 2013, GRAND-AM Road Racing (Aug. 16-17).

Parking is always free at Kansas Speedway and fans can bring in one 14x14x14-inch soft-sided cooler with their favorite food and beverages.
