Krispy Kreme Doughnuts & Coffee will be selling their tasty treats on the Midway at Richmond International Raceway during the April 25, 26 and 27 NASCAR weekend, with proceeds benefiting two great causes. Doughnuts are $1, or purchase six for $5.

On Thursday, April 25, all proceeds will be donated to the Denny Hamlin Cystic Fibrosis Research Lab at the Children Hospital of Richmond at VCU.

On Friday, April 26, and Saturday, April 27, $0.77 per donut sold will be donated to RIR Cares – a Donor Advised Fund of The NASCAR Foundation, a 501(c)3 charitable entity, that donates racing-related items and offers financial support to assist community outreach programs and nonprofit charities. RIR Cares focuses on youth, education and recreation initiatives to help better the Greater Richmond Metropolitan Area.

NASCAR driver Gray Gaulding, who pilots the Krispy Kreme car in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series, made the announcement while handing out free doughnuts at a Richmond, VA Krispy Kreme store.

“I am proud to be teaming up Krispy Kreme and TruMoo Chocolate Milk with my hometown track, so proceeds from Thursday’s sales go to the DH Foundation, and Friday and Saturday’s to RIR Cares”, said Gaulding. “I have set a goal for my team and partners to raise $10,000 for RIR Cares.”

Gaulding is running both races on Thursday, April 25 – the BLUE OX 100 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race, followed by the Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown presented by FedEx. All tickets are $25 in advance, and children 12 and younger are admitted free with a ticketed adult. Tickets can be purchased by clicking here or calling 866-455-7223.
