MISLogoNASCAR’s new Gen-6 Car has drawn rave reviews from drivers and fans alike after the first 10 races in 2013.

On May 14-15, the car will make its debut at Michigan International Speedway when two teams conduct a test. And fans are invited to watch free of charge.

Speedway officials will open the Turn One grandstands from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 14 and May 15 to watch testing. So far, Kurt Busch and Trevor Bayne are the only drivers schedule to test those days.  Continue reading

Phoenix Racing is having one of its best seasons yet in the Sprint Cup series but that all may come to an end in the middle of this season. With lack of sponsorship, James Finch, owner of Phoenix Racing may close down the team.

The team is having its best season yet, including two top-ten and five top-15 finishes, and with lack of full-time sponsorship may come to an end. The News Herald reported on Tuesday that Phoenix Racing is scheduling to close shop after the Sprint Cup series races at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on July 28. Continue reading

How Can Fans Get More Green Flag Coverage?

Yesterday, FOX missed live coverage of a crucial point in the race during a commercial break. This only adds to fan’s frustration over the amount of commercial breaks during green flag coverage of Sprint Cup races recently.

With rain threatening and drivers making moves for the lead at Talladega, FOX went to commercial only to miss what could have been the winning move by Carl Edwards before the red flag flew for rain. Fortunately, NASCAR was able to dry the track and finish the race.
