Saturday afternoon at Phoenix, Kyle Busch demonstrated why he has visited victory lane 12 times in the Nationwide Series – Domination. Busch had little competition throughout the afternoon allowing him to abolish the rest of the field en route to victory. Busch also closed in on Penske Racing’s No.22 team in the owners point standings with one race remaining for the season.

Busch started the day on the pole and led until Brad Keselowski took the lead on lap 112. Busch was able to get back out front eight laps later.

A caution spree struck around lap 130 with five yellow-flags during a 23 lap part of the race. Brad Keselowski became involved in one of the cautions when Brian Scott ran into him and turned the No.22 up into the turn three wall.

Busch lost the lead for a bit during the cautions, but raced back to the lead with 47 laps left to run. That was the last lead change of the afternoon as Busch finished the race the same as he started – out front. This was Busch’s 12th win of the season and no doubt he’ll look to finish the season with 13 next weekend.

The Nationwide Series championship chase didn’t change much as Austin Dillon still leads Sam Hornish Jr. Eight points now separate the top-two with one race left at Homestead-Miami. Each driver will look to claim their first career Nationwide Series championships next weekend.
