Finally Toyota’s 12-race dominance in the Camping World Truck Series has come to an end at Pocono Raceway with Austin Dillon bringing home a victory in his No. 3 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet.

After a couple green-white-checkered flags, Dillon held of a hard charging Johnny Sauter to get his first series win of 2014.

Dillon started on the outside pole and led the most laps – 23 of 64 – en route to his sixth series career win and his first series win at the ‘Tricky Triangle.’

Following Dillon and Sauter to the checkered flag were Joey Coulter finishing third, Clint Bowyer fourth and the series points leader, Ryan Blaney bringing home a fifth-place finish.

With his fifth-place finish Ryan Blaney leaves Pocono with a seven-point lead over second-place Johnny Sauter.

John Wes Townley went to a Pennsylvania hospital after an accident during ARCA Racing Series qualifying at Pocono Raceway. After evaluation he went home for his recovery.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Clint Bowyer was his replacement in the No. 05 Zaxby’s Athenian Motorsports Toyota Tundra on Saturday afternoon.

Townley is in good health but will sit out of competition for seven days as a precautionary measure.  The Watkinsville, GA driver will be medically reevaluated in Charlotte early next week and hopes to compete at Berlin Speedway in the ARCA Series next Saturday.

Rounding out the top-ten were Erik Jones in sixth, Ron Hornaday Jr in seventh, Darrell Wallace Jr in eighth, Justin Lofton ninth and Joe Nemechek finishing tenth.

After a few encounters on the track between the No. 77 of German Quiroga and the No. 19 of Tyler Reddick, NASCAR parked Reddick also telling him to report to their hauler immediately after the race. Expect more later as to whether more action by NASCAR is necessary.

Kyle Larson, the pole sitter led 21 laps, dominating early in the race, but engine issues led to losing his lead and ending the race in 18th-place.  Larson also won the pole for the Sprint Cup race on Sunday, sweeping the top-spot at Pocono for the weekend.

Next up for the Camping World Truck Series is an off weekend with a return to the track on Saturday, August 16th.  The Career for Veterans 200 is at Michigan International Speedway with television coverage on FOX Sports 1 beginning at noon ET.
