Ryan Blaney and German Quiroga gave NASCAR Camping World Truck Series fans a thrilling door-to-door finish to the checkered flag
Edging out German Quiroga by 0.50 seconds, Ryan Blaney wins the Chevrolet Silverado 250 at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park/Mosport on Sunday afternoon. In the closing laps the two raced door-to-door exchanging the lead all the way to the end with Blaney making the last pass for the lead in the final stretch just before the finish line for the victory.
Leading the most laps, Blaney led 34 of 64 laps getting his first win at Mosport. Blaney has three Camping World Truck Series wins, but this is his first series win of the 2014 season.
There were only two cautions for the day for a total of six laps along with eight lead changes among seven drivers.
Following Quiroga across the finish line were Erik Jones and Rookie of the Year contender Gray Gaulding with Andrew Ranger rounding out the top-five finishers.
Johnny Sauter, finished eighth and remains the points leader, seven points ahead of ThorSport Racing teammate Matt Crafton in second place.
Rounding out the top-ten were Matt Crafton, Brennan Newberry, the points leader Sauter, Cole Custer with Timothy Peters finishing in tenth-place.
