Contenders

Jimmie Johnson – Very hard to count him out at Martinsville, and has looked very strong so far this weekend. I think he will be a man to beat Sunday and as we all come to know, he usually gets the job done

Joey Logano – The pole on Friday, the Camping World Truck Series pole and the  CWTS win on Saturday, its been the Joey Logano show so far this weekend. Starting out front will be a huge asset in terms of track position Sunday. In order to win, his team needs to make adjustments to keep him out front, as they’ve failed to do all season.

Other potential contenders Sunday: Denny Hamlin , Jeff Gordon , Kasey Kahne 

Dark Horse(s)

Ryan Newman –  I list him here just because he hasn’t won a race in over a year. Newman has gotten the job done in this race before (2010) and would love to get RCR to victory lane. 

Chase Elliott – Any time Rick Hendrick puts a car on the track competitive action will take place. If this kid can stay on the lead lap and put himself in position his ability to drive to victory lane is just a matter of time.. 

Other Dark Horse: Paul Menard, Danica Patrick  

Race Winner

 Kurt Busch –  I’ve said it all week, and I am sticking with it, I am going with the “Outlaw”. . He has been a man on a mission ever since he got back in the car and will do whatever it takes to put himself into the chase. Expecting some pushing and shoving at Martinsville, so I have to go with a guy who has no problem doing that, has shown speed all weekend, and has motivation to put his recent suspension behind him. Kurt Busch wins Sunday.
