Here are my Fantasy Picks and Preview for the Sprint Cup Series Food City 500 in Support of Steve Byrnes at Bristol Motor Speedway.
Contenders
JoeyLogano- The Bristol winner in August and then went on to lead every lap yesterday in the NASCAR Xfinity series race making history. Logano wins if he and crew chief Todd Gordon can keep up with track conditions and execute on pit road.
Kevin Harvick– Can you seriously ever count this guy out this year? I’ve left him off this list the past two races and he has made me eat my words. Led the most laps at Martinsville and finished eighth. Every other race this season he has finished first or second . Lets just say I will not make the mistake of leaving him off here unless I see at dramatic decline in performance again.
MattKenseth- This man will be sitting on the pole and has three Bristol wins to his name. I suspect will be in contention Sunday afternoon with Joe Gibbs Racing really having their short track program figured out in terms of balance, combined with Kenseth’s winning aspect, that will make a tough combination to beat come Sunday.
Other potential contenders Sunday: Kurt Busch, Carl Edwards
Dark Horse(s)
David Ragan–Nobody wants to win a race more than this man. David Ragan knows his time is coming in driving the number 18 car for Joe Gibbs Racing. Kyle Busch is making a speedy recovery and young sensation is due some seat time. Ragan needs to win a race to put himself in the chase and I think he has a shot at Bristol

Race Winner
Kasey Kahne– I said it on Thursday night and I am going to say it again, Kasey Kahne wins at Bristol. My pick last week at Texas as well, I really like what I am seeing from Kahne recently. I think he and crew chief Keith Rodden are making some vast improvements on that team and Kahne won this race just two years ago. He has been fast all weekend and I like what he brings to the table this weekend at Bristol.
