The 17-year old, high school senior is competing in 15 of the 19 remaining events beginning at Salem Speedway on April 24. Sargeant is also driving his Toyota at Talladega, Toledo, New Jersey Motorsports Park, both Pocono dates, Michigan, Winchester, Iowa, Lucas Oil Raceway, Berlin, Salem, Chicago, Kentucky and the ARCA Series finale at Kansas.

Sargeant, a member of the 2015 NASCAR Next class is the latest driver in a long list of successful NASCAR drivers to join Venturini Motorsports in the ARCA Racing Series. Most notable Venturini Motorsports’ Alumni include drivers Joey Logano and Erik Jones. Other drivers advancing their careers with Venturini Motorsports include Ryan Blaney, Brian Scott, Justin Allgaier, Daniel Suarez, Alex Bowman, and Brennan Poole. Overall, Venturini has assisted 39 drivers that have gone on to compete in one of NASCAR’s top three series’.

In 2015, Sargeant made four NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts with two top-ten finishes. He also competed in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series and several Super Late Model and Late Model starts all across the country.  Sargeant has one win, two pole starts and nine top-three finishes in 18 starts during his K&N Pro Series rookie season.

“It’s really an honor to have the opportunity to drive the No. 55 Toyota Camry for a team like Venturini Motorsports.  Not only do we have fast and proven Toyota Camry’s, but also a veteran crew chief in Billy Venturini. I’m looking forward to the challenge of racing on larger tracks, it’s a completely different style of racing than anything I’ve done before, so I’m excited about taking on that learning curve and thankful I have a great team and great people to lean on for help.” said Sargeant.

This coming weekend, Sargeant is traveling west to take part in the second annual Winter Showdown with the SPEARS SRL Southwest Touring Series. The event takes place from February 26th through the 28th at Kern County Raceway in Bakersfield, CA. Last year, Sargeant finished second behind race winner Bubba Pollard and ahead of third place finisher and local favorite, Derek Thorn.
