On November 3rd, Brad Keselowski Racing announced that Austin Cindric will drive a third entry for the organization in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) race on November 11 at Phoenix (Avondale, Ariz.) International Raceway. PIRTEK, the industry leader in fluid transfer solution sales and service in the United States, will serve as primary sponsor of the No. 2 Ford F-150 driven by Cindric at Phoenix.
Cindric, 18, will be attempting his sixth career NCWTS start and fourth of the 2016 season. He will be making his second start at Phoenix, the first time Cindric has competed at the same track more than once. In 2015, Cindric scored a respectable 14th-place finish at the one-mile desert oval.
“I’m really grateful to have the opportunity to run one more race with Brad Keselowski Racing this season,” Cindric said. “Phoenix is the first time that I’ve returned to a track with the PIRTEK Ford F-150, and for me, that’s definitely important. Now I know what to expect going into practice, what I need to work on, and how to improve. We were strong in the race last year, but things just didn’t work out for us. I’m excited to go back there and apply all the things I’ve been able to learn this season.”
In 2016, Cindric has competed in NCWTS races at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada) and Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway. His best finish came at Bristol (18th-place) and he qualified a career-best second at the Canadian road course. Cindric made his NCWTS debut in 2015 at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway with BKR last October where he qualified 14th and ran well before a late-race incident relegated him to a 25th-place finish.
Cindric won his first-career ARCA Racing Series race Sept. 23 at Kentucky Speedway. He also racked up two victories in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, winning April 30 at Virginia International Raceway and Aug. 5 at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International.
