Andy Hoffman, founder of the Nebraska-based Team Jack Foundation dedicated to funding pediatric brain cancer research, was the recipient of The NASCAR Foundation’s sixth annual Betty Jane France Humanitarian Award presented by Nationwide on Tuesday night, during The Foundation’s inaugural Honors Gala at the Marriott Marquis.

This year’s award presentation is the highlight of the “10 Years of Giving” celebration for The NASCAR Foundation, which has donated approximately $25 million to impact the lives of children since its inception in 2006. Even the best laid plans can go awry and Cameron Hayley’s experience on Saturday afternoon in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series UNOH 175 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway was that kind of day.

Making his third start at the New Hampshire 1.058-mile short track, Hayley raced from eighth-place and ran in the top-ten for most of the event running as high as fifth.  The day was going well, after overcoming some challenges his No. 13 ThorSport Racing team faced during two earlier practice sessions, when he finished 15th and fourth.  Continue reading

For all appearances, Matt Kenseth and Martin Truex Jr. were going to settle Sunday’s Bad Boy Off Road 300 between them.

After a so-so qualifying effort, Logano started 15th in Sunday’s Bad Boy Off Road 300 and quickly went backwards. On lap 114 of a long green-flag run to start the race, leader Martin Truex Jr. passed Logano to put the No. 22 Ford a lap down. Continue reading
