Moving his career to the next level, Vinnie Miller is racing the NASCAR XFINITY Series full-time in 2018 for JD Motorsports with Gary Keller. Early next week, expect more news about this No. 01 team.
Last season, Miller raced late models in NASCAR’s K&N Pro Series and the ARCA Racing Series for MDM Motorsports. In six K&N East events, Miller posted one top-five and two top-ten finishes. With just five ARCA starts in 2017, he has four top-tens with a career-best result at Iowa Speedway of sixth.
Miller also raced the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Talladega Superspeedway, finishing seventh in his first superspeedway race. And in his XFINITY Series debut at Chicagoland Speedway, Miller finished a respectable 29th-place.
A native of Ortonville, Michigan, Miller enjoys hunting, fishing, boating, golfing, diving, driving snowmobiles and hanging out with friends. Miller expresses a great deal of gratitude to his late Grandfather Vance Weedon and his Grandmother Julie Weedon for helping him with his racing career and as the biggest influences on his life.
Miller also has a great deal of respect for Tony Basalone who worked tirelessly on his cars in Michigan to get him where he is today – looking forward to racing a full-time NASCAR XFINITY Series season in 2018.
