Tony Stewart Returns to NASCAR Competition

Tony Stewart the NASCAR Hall of Famer and three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion will return to NASCAR racing in 2020. At least once. It’s great to hear that Stewart is competing in the July 4th Xfinity Series event at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He will drive a second Stewart Haas Racing entry. The Xfinity Series is running on the Indianapolis road course for the first time. And that will make this a unique and exciting event for the 2020 season.

It is awesome seeing Stewart back in NASCAR as a driver. For the first time since the Cup season finale in 2016, he is back behind the wheel. With the hype surrounding this inaugural road course event, Stewart is making this a must-see race. Watching Stewart compete with some of the new up-and-coming drivers in the Xfinity Series is a fun and rare treat.

The attention surrounding this event is big and can certainly help generate interest in attendance and the TV audience. It will be interesting to see how Indianapolis does in its new weekend of racing over July 4th weekend. The Xfinity Series racing a road course with Tony Stewart competing is a solid step in making the weekend a memorable one.

Busch Clash to Run Daytona Road Course in 2021

This is truly an intriguing development for the 2021 season. I think this is a positive change for next year. What can be better than NASCAR running the Daytona road course for the first time? It’s a fantastic chance for the exhibition race to now have its own identity. And be completely different than the Daytona 500.

Running the road course generates new interest and excitement for this race. The track will transition from the 2.5-mile oval to the road course. Fans have expressed interest in more road course racing and that’s exactly what NASCAR is providing with this race.

Fans will have fun seeing an exhibition road course event solely for the purpose of entertainment. It is more fun also seeing who can take the first checkered flag in 2021.
