The Agenda

This episode centers around Texas Motor Speedway for the NASCAR Cup, Xfinity, and Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series along with the ARCA Menards Series at Iowa Speedway.  We’ll also give a review of the Cup Series Open and All-Star races at Bristol Motor Speedway. Updates from the ARCA East and West and pre-race audio from drivers are given as time permits.

  • First, we give a review of the Cup Series Open and All-Star Race at Bristol with the preview for the ARCA Menards Series at Iowa. 
  • Next, we preview the NASCAR Gander & RV Outdoors Truck Series in Texas.

Elliott Claims First All-Star Victory

Elliott claims first All-Star victory in the NASCAR Cup Series exhibition event on Wednesday, July 15th at Bristol Motor Speedway.

For the second time in thirty-two years, the NASCAR Cup Series All-Star race moved the venue to a different track. The first switch happened in 1986 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The All-Star event, typically at Charlotte Motor Speedway, was moved to Bristol Motor Speedway this season.

Elliott wins All-Star race in the NASCAR Cup Series at Bristol Motor Speedway in a rare mid-week event on July 15th – the first All-Star event at the Tennessee track.

The sport’s reigning Most Popular Driver, Chase Elliott earned his first NASCAR All-Star Race win Wednesday night at Bristol Motor Speedway – holding off the reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch in the closing laps.

Post-Kentucky Power Ranking after the NASCAR Cup Series Quaker State 400 presented by Walmart on Sunday, July 12th at Kentucky Speedway.

Note: This power ranking covers the two previous NASCAR Cup Series races at Indianapolis and Kentucky.

The past couple of races were incredible, as well as unpredictable. First, in Indianapolis, Denny Hamlin blew a tire from the lead with just a few laps to go, right as it looked like he was going to take his fifth win of the season. The incident gifted the win to Kevin Harvick, who tied Hamlin at the top with four victories.
