It’s something fans dream of when attending any race – Being in victory lane at any NASCAR Race. It’s an exclusive club for winners. Victory lane is symbolic in our sport as a place of triumph and it’s where drivers can turn into legends. Being in a place that powerful seems impossible. Kahne Caps Off Dominant Pocono Run with a Victory
Kasey Kahne made Team Hendrick proud on Sunday at Pocono after he took the win in a day they totally dominated. A wild afternoon started with pole-sitter Jimmie Johnson leading, but when he ran into trouble just shy of the mid-point of the race, Kahne rose to the top spot. Then when a late caution sprung a dash for the win, it was Jeff Gordon taking over the lead but he was passed on another late restart by Kahne. Even though it seems the drivers were in Pocono a few weeks ago, it’s time to head back to the tricky triangle for a second go around. June featured another dominant performance by Jimmie Johnson and he is be looking to do the same thing again this weekend after coming so close at Indy last week. The ‘tricks’ Pocono has up its sleeve this weekend could come at any of its three corners. US Cellular 250 at Iowa Preview
A little short track out in Iowa will light up for the second time this season when the Nationwide Series hits this tough venue. Rain drenched the race last June, forcing a move to Sunday and then Trevor Bayne and Austin Dillon dueled it out for the victory, with Bayne coming out on top. With the weather looking good, the cars will race under the lights on Saturday night to continue the championship chase. Continue reading
