16-year-old Canadian Driver to Make Debut in No. 51 Camry at Speedfest

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Jan. 15, 2018) – Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) announced today that 16-year-old Canadian driver Raphael Lessard will pilot the team’s No. 51 Super Late Model in 18 events during the 2018 season. Justin Haley and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Return to GMS Racing for 2018

STATESVILLE, N.C. (January 15, 2018) – GMS Racing announced that Justin Haley would once again pilot the No. 24 Chevrolet Silverado in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) in 2018. Long-time sponsor Fraternal Order of Eagles will also rejoin the group as a primary sponsor throughout the season.

The 18-year-old returns to the team following a strong rookie season in which he earned three top-fives and 12 top-ten finishes in 21 starts. He also captured his first-career NCWTS pole award at Texas Motor Speedway in November, setting a new track qualifying record and becoming the youngest pole winner in track history. Continue reading

IMS Statement on Passing of Dan Gurney

INDIANAPOLIS, Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018 – A statement from Indianapolis Motor Speedway President J. Douglas Boles on the death Sunday, Jan. 14 of legendary American race driver, team owner and car constructor Dan Gurney, who finished three times in the top three during his nine Indianapolis 500 starts from 1962-70. Gurney is one of only three drivers to win races in IndyCar, Formula One, NASCAR Cup and elite sports car competition, along with Mario Andretti and Juan Pablo Montoya.

His skill in all three areas helped him make an indelible mark and serve as a huge influence in this sport. Dan was a giant in the racing world, in every sense.
