A Different Perspective on Three Wins in a Row
One year ago, Chase Briscoe made his ARCA Racing Series debut for Cunningham Motorsports at Lucas Oil Raceway (LOR), running for a third team for the organization. In that race, Briscoe earned his first top-ten finish of tenth. 363 days later, he dominated the last 130 laps of the 200 lap Sioux Chief PowerPEX 200 at the track….taking his third consecutive checkered flag. Dale Earnhardt Jr. will not compete in the July 17 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event at New Hampshire Motor Speedway after experiencing concussion-like symptoms.
Earnhardt, driver of the No. 88 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports, was evaluated this week in Charlotte and today was not cleared by physicians to race. Alex Bowman will be the team’s substitute driver this weekend at New Hampshire. Continue reading →
Lesa France Kennedy, CEO of International Speedway Corporation and Vice Chairperson of NASCAR, was named one of ADWEEK’S ’30 Most Powerful Women in Sports’ in their July issue, on newsstands June 27.
The inaugural ’30 Most Powerful Women in Sports’ list is presented in ADWEEK’S annual Sports Issue. Kennedy is featured along with NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Driver Danica Patrick, and other elite athletes, league executives, sports media personalities and sports marketing executives.
