After winning a race in his first year in the ARCA Racing Series and running only seven races in 2016, Gus Dean of Bluffton, South Carolina followed it up in 2017 with seven top-fives and 14 top-tens in his second year of competition and running full-time. He closed the season fourth in points as part of a two-car operation with Win Tron Racing. Anyone watching the races at Chicagoland Speedway this weekend probably heard about the Stars & Stripes Weekend Official Track Ambassador Navy Lt. Jesse Iwuji (pronounced ee-woo-jee). Fans of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West have probably heard his name as he drives a car in the series. Kyle vs. Kyle – All’s Fair in Love and Racing at Chicagoland Speedway

After a dramatic finish to the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, Overton’s 400 at Chicagoland Speedway, with Kyle Busch bumping Kyle Larson on the white flag lap to send the No. 42 spinning and take his No. 18 to Victory Lane.  This was following Larson getting into the quarter panel of Busch in the previous corner, allowing him to get by and take the lead.  While the crowd at Chicagoland Speedway expressed their displeasure, showering Kyle Busch with boos as he completed his cool down lap and celebrated on the front stretch – Larson was not one of them. Brett Moffitt and Hattori Racing Proving They are More than Just the Little Team that Could

Coming into the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Overton’s 225 at Chicagoland Speedway, Brett Moffitt was a two-time winner this year with Hattori Racing and locked into the playoffs, already establishing it as the best year of his career.  However, it was a stressful beginning to the week as Monday through Wednesday they spent time trying to secure sponsorship and funding so they could be on track this past Friday and not lose their playoff and championship eligibility.  Introduced with the team back in 2015, Fr8Auctions was there up to help them out with sponsorship for Chicagoland this week and during their press conference in the Media Center, they said there’s sponsorship in place for Kentucky Speedway next week. Young Motorsports took a huge step toward securing their future in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series this weekend in the M&M’s 200 at Iowa Speedway by running an expanded team with three new up-and-coming drivers.  Austin Hill raced the No. 02 formerly driven by the team owner, Tyler Young while Reid Wilson was behind the wheel of the No. 12 and Tanner Thorson ran the No. 20.   Continue reading
