The NASCAR Xfinity Series ‘Big Three’ have emerged as the top contenders in the Final Four to compete for the championship trophy at Homestead Miami in November. Tyler Reddick (three), the series points leader, Christopher Bell (four) in second and Cole Custer (three) in third are racing for wins consistently this season. The NASCAR Xfinity Series has seen multiple drivers split seat time in a car, and even chase the owner’s championship. Normally it’s done with a rotation of Monster Energy Cup Series drivers and a veteran crew chief. JR Motorsports is choosing a different path for the drivers of the No. 8. While they have used a couple of Cup drivers like Chase Elliott and Ryan Preece, most of the schedule is covered by developing drivers like Jeb Burton, Ryan Truex, and Zane Smith, in the car for the Camping World 300 at Chicagoland Speedway on Saturday.

Grant Enfinger, driver of the No. 98 Champion Power Equipment Ford for ThorSport Racing in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series is on pace to have a career year. Through the first half of the season, he has been near or on top of the points standings, swapping the lead back and forth. Lately, he has maintained the summit spot based off some very consistent runs week in and week out, holding a 480 to 426 point lead over second.

After sitting out the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series race last weekend at Gateway, Johnny Sauter with ThorSport Racing is back on track at Chicagoland Speedway for the Camping World 225 on Friday night. Sauter’s hometown is just three hours north of Chicago in Necedah, Wisconsin. That means he has lots of family and friends surrounding him at a track that is special for a number of reasons.
