Highly Touted Christopher Bell Set To Make Truck Series Debut

The populace of Norman, Oklahoma is familiar with former OU Football standout and current San Francisco 49ers tight end Blake “Belldozer” Bell. Soon it will be familiar with a NASCAR driver who “Belldozes” to victory lane, hometown prospect Christopher Bell (no relation), who makes his Camping World Truck Series début with Kyle Busch Motorsports in Friday’s American Ethanol 200 at Iowa Speedway. Guests include NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver, Erik Jones from Kyle Busch Motorsports to chat about his 2015 season and help us preview their upcoming race at Iowa Speedway on Friday.

Late Race Accident Spoils Dominate Race for Erik Jones at Gateway

After starting from the pole for Saturday night’s Drivin’ for Linemen 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event at Gateway Motorsports Park, Erik Jones led a race-high 84 laps, but once again experienced misfortunes late in the race, spoiling his effort to collect that elusive first win of the season. Jones was in the runner-up position, chasing down race-leader Matt Crafton, with just under 20 laps remaining when contact with a lap truck resulted in terminal damage to his Special Olympics World Games Tundra and relegated him to a 23rd-place finish.
