Pre-Race Pit Pass, Indoor Hospitality & Driver Appearances Included in 3-Wide Upgrade

Kyle Busch, the winner of the last four Spring races at Richmond International Raceway, will be the special guest in the track’s 3-Wide fan hospitality area on Saturday, April 27, prior to the Toyota Owners 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.

Guests who have race tickets for the Saturday, April 27, Toyota Owners 400 at RIR can upgrade their race day experience by purchasing 3-Wide fan hospitality, which includes a pre-race Pit Pass and admission to the 3-Wide hospitality area, located in a climate-controlled building, where you can enjoy the Kyle Busch Q&A session, food and festivities before a memorable night of short track racing “under the lights.”

Last time the Sprint Cup Series left Phoenix, we had a fight in the garage, Clint Bowyer running and a big mess on the front straightway. Pure excitement that was. Things may be a bit different this time around but, pure excitement always seems to arrive at the Phoenix International Raceway and this Sunday should be no different. After the track was reconfigured in 2011, the excitement has been at an all-time high. The cars can pass just about anywhere and the dog-leg on the backstretch makes for some exciting side-by-side racing. This gem in the desert always puts on quite a performance.

The Subway Fresh Fit 500(k) will take place on Sunday March 3rd, 2013 and the expected time the green flag will wave is 3:14 PM EST (1:14 PM MT). The race will feature 312 exciting laps and 312 (500k) miles. The weather for race day is looking good with partly cloudy conditions and a 10% chance of rain. The high temperature for the day will be 83 F and the low will be 52 F. The TV broadcast of the race can be seen live on FOX and the radio version of the broadcast can be heard on MRN. No. 48 Team Celebrates Second Daytona 500 Triumph at Champion’s Breakfast

Following his second victory in the “Great American Race,” driver Jimmie Johnson, crew chief Chad Knaus and owner Rick Hendrick inducted the No. 48 Lowe’s Chevrolet into the Daytona International Speedway Ticket and Tours Building during Monday’s annual Champion’s Breakfast.

“The night was great,” Johnson said of the celebration. “We had a lot of fun in the infield. I think the security guys knew we were here and said, ‘Nice job celebrating, now you guys just need to slow down a little bit.’ ”

Johnson’s late night celebration might have gone well, but his immediate celebration after taking the checkered flag wasn’t as successful. His burn out in the tri-oval grass actually damaged the front end of the No. 48 car that is now on display in the indoor Gatorade Victory Lane at the “World Center of Racing.” Continue reading →
