First K&N West Driver Takes Overall Victory in Combo Race
Michael Self continued his winning ways Friday night at Iowa Speedway.

The 22-year-old from Park City, Utah, pulled away from the NASCAR K&N Pro Series field en route to the win in the Casey’s General Store 150. It was Self’s second straight win, his fifth in his last 14 races, and he became the first NASCAR K&N Pro Series West driver to win the annual combination race with the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. K&N Pro Series with Double Header as East meets West in Iowa

K-NProSeriesLogoIowa Speedway has become synonymous with the NASCAR K&N Pro Series as both East and West have annually convened in the nation’s heartland to compete head-to-head since 2007.

The Casey’s General Stores 150 on Friday, June 7, will be the first of two meetings at the .875-mile track in Newton, Iowa, with the second scheduled for Aug. 2.

The seven previous editions of the East/West combination race have produced a different winner. Chase Elliott picked up the win in his only visit to the track last season. Continue reading
