Denny Hamlin and Kevin Harvick make gains to their wins total in the doubleheader Drydene 311 this weekend at Dover International Speedway.

The NASCAR Cup Series have their last doubleheader weekend at Dover International Speedway this weekend. Before the weekend, there are three races left in the regular season, with two races at Dover, and the last race of the season at Daytona International Speedway next weekend. For drivers on the cusp of the playoff bubble, many look to Dover as the place to secure their spot. However, after Dover, the playoff competition is tighter than anyone expected.

Post-Daytona Road Course Power Ranking is for the NASCAR Cup Series after their inaugural race the Go Bowling 235 on the road course at Daytona International Speedway.

As if 2020 isn’t already unpredictable enough, imagine how Kevin Harvick was feeling leading the field into the sharp left-handed first turn at the Daytona Road Course on Sunday. While the race didn’t necessarily bring the insanity people were expecting after wreck-filled Xfinity and Truck Series races, the track did give an exhibition of driver skill in its first Cup Series Daytona Road Course event. Chase Elliott grabbed a huge win, his second of the season, and a few drivers picked up some big points in the race as well.

Chase Elliott makes history in the NASCAR Cup Series Go Bowling 235 by winning the series’ first-ever race on the Daytona Road Course at Daytona International Speedway.

Adding a wrinkle to the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series schedule, NASCAR decided to race at the Daytona Road Course instead of racing at Watkins Glen because of COVID 19 limitations. For the first time, the NASCAR Cup Series raced the infield road course within the superspeedway oval.
