Ten years ago, Boone Stutz was a gridiron warrior, suiting up in a helmet and pads to play in front of thousands of fans at Kyle Field in College Station, Texas for the Texas A&M Aggies football program.

He returns to Texas in a different uniform for Saturday’s Duck Commander 500 – a firesuit and a racing helmet. Stutz serves as the gas man for Danica Patrick’s No. 10 GoDaddy Chevrolet team and is also a strength and conditioning coach for Stewart-Haas Racing. Continue reading

Logano Overcomes Untimely Late Caution to Become Seventh Different Winner in 2014

Just as the Duck Commander 500 looked as though it was over, a game changing late yellow-flag made for a wild final restart. Joey Logano led before the last caution, but strategy by other teams on pit road led to Logano to restarting third. However, his four tires prevailed over Jeff Gordon and Brian Vickers’ two, allowing Logano to save a win that almost got away. Continue reading
