Broadcast Veteran Also Set to Host NASCAR XFINITY SERIES Pre-Race Show, Continue College Basketball and NFL Sideline Reporting in 2017

FOX Sports has named recent hire Shannon Spake co-host of its popular NASCAR RACE HUB (Monday through Thursday at 6:00 PM ET on FS1) alongside Adam Alexander for the 2017 NASCAR race season, beginning today.

Spake, who joined FOX Sports in July 2016, also will host NASCAR RACEDAY-XFINITY, live from the track preceding each weekend’s NASCAR XFINITY SERIES race, in addition to continuing to serve as a sideline reporter for college basketball and several NFL games airing on FOX Sports. Continue reading →

“Beyond the Wheel” Portrays NASCAR® Icons and Traditions in Four Original Short Films Airing on NASCAR RACE HUB™ on FS1 

FS1 with NASCAR Productions will present, as a part of FS1’s NASCAR RACE HUB™, a new documentary short film series entitled Beyond the Wheel to offer an inside look at the sport’s most interesting stories and traditions. The documentaries further NASCAR RACE HUB’sexpansion into dynamic storytelling, taking a new approach to explore pivotal moments and offer never-before-seen insights on influential NASCAR legends and fascinating historical characters. FOX Sports South will début DRIVEN – Matt Crafton: Born to Race, presented by Toyota on Friday, June 12 at 11 p.m. ET, the latest in the network’s EMMY Award-winning original programming series.

DRIVEN – Matt Crafton: Born to Race chronicles the life and humble upbringing of NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Matt Crafton, and what led him to become the successful driver he is today.

Crafton is the defending two-time Camping World Truck Series champion, and the first driver ever to win back-to-back championships in the Series. He is the current points leader for the 2015 season on the strength of three wins in seven races. Continue reading →
