You’ll Hear Familiar Voices in ‘Cars 3’ this Year

NASCAR and Disney-Pixar’s “Cars 3” announced a season-long partnership on Thursday at Daytona International Speedway. Scheduled for release on June 16, Cars 3 “very much pays homage to stock car racing and its rich history,” said director Brian Fee.

“Our drama leans into the drama, emotion and excitement NASCAR fans find at every race.”

Owen Wilson, who will serve as the grand marshal for Sunday’s 59th running of the Daytona 500, will reprise his role as the voice of Lightning McQueen, but his isn’t the only voice NASCAR fans will find familiar. Continue reading

FOX Sports Names Shannon Spake Co-Host of FS1’s NASCAR Race Hub

Broadcast Veteran Also Set to Host NASCAR XFINITY SERIES Pre-Race Show, Continue College Basketball and NFL Sideline Reporting in 2017

FOX Sports has named recent hire Shannon Spake co-host of its popular NASCAR RACE HUB (Monday through Thursday at 6:00 PM ET on FS1) alongside Adam Alexander for the 2017 NASCAR race season, beginning today.

Spake, who joined FOX Sports in July 2016, also will host NASCAR RACEDAY-XFINITY, live from the track preceding each weekend’s NASCAR XFINITY SERIES race, in addition to continuing to serve as a sideline reporter for college basketball and several NFL games airing on FOX Sports. Continue reading
