In his track début at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in the UNOH 175, the 500th race of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, Spencer Gallagher and his No. 23 GMS Racing team ran into some rear gear issues that ended their day with a 28th-place finish.

Earlier in the day, Gallagher posted the second fastest lap in the last practice, then qualified to start the race from the seventh position. From the drop of the green flag, Gallagher fought an extremely tight balance in the center and exit off the flat corners of New Hampshire Motor Speedway. After making aggressive adjustments, the No. 23 returned to the track to begin his work back toward the top-15, with improved balance on his car. Continue reading

Austin Dillon Prevails as Truck Series Reaches Major Milestone

The milestone 500th race in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series produced important ‘firsts’ for two key figures on the winning team.

When Austin Dillon took the checkered flag in Saturday’s UNOH 175 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, he delivered the first victory in the series to both team owner Maurice Gallagher of GMS Racing and to crew chief Shane Huffmann.

Dillon pulled away after a restart on lap 167 of 175, a resumption that followed the sixth caution of the race, for Tyler Reddick’s spin off turn two on lap 161. Dillon, who had stayed out on older tires while most other lead-lap trucks came to pit road under caution on lap 142, crossed the finish line 1.054 seconds ahead of two-time defending series champion Matt Crafton. Grant Enfinger with GMS Racing is Leading the Way in the ARCA Racing Series

Although his season has had ups and downs, Grant Enfinger is happy with leading the ARCA Racing Series point standings, with GMS Racing.
