Michael Self is focused on taking the next step this week when the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and NASCAR K&N Pro Series West head to Iowa Speedway for the Casey’s General Stores 150 on Friday, June 7.
The first of two combination races this season at Iowa between the K&N Pro Series East and West, Self is looking at the Casey’s General Stores 150 as an opportunity for a breakthrough on behalf of his peers from the West Coast. Iowa Speedway has become synonymous with the NASCAR K&N Pro Series as both East and West have annually convened in the nation’s heartland to compete head-to-head since 2007.
The Casey’s General Stores 150 on Friday, June 7, will be the first of two meetings at the .875-mile track in Newton, Iowa, with the second scheduled for Aug. 2.

Popular NASCAR Nationwide Series Dash 4 Cash Begins With Kentucky Qualifier
There will be more on the line June 28 during the NASCAR Nationwide Series Feed the Children 300 at Kentucky Speedway than most races.
This year, the Kentucky race will be the qualifier for the “Dash 4 Cash,” the beginning of the popular NASCAR Nationwide Series program that could result in a $1 million payout to one talented driver.
