F4R-XS-News-Notes-TemplateThe NASCAR XFINITY Series teams will return to action in two weeks for the O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway. Teams will race 200 laps for 300 miles on Friday, April 8th. FOX Sports 1 will begin their pre-race show at 8 pm ET with the green flag at around 8:30 pm ET. Fans can also listen to the race on PRN or SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.

Double Duty for Five NASCAR Drivers at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

A new week has dawned, and it’s nearly time to go racing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The 2016 NASCAR Weekend at the 1.5-mile superspeedway is shaping up as another epic experience, with drivers set to race in the NASCAR XFINITY Series Boyd Gaming 300 on Saturday and Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Kobalt 400. Five drivers – Austin Dillon, Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, Chase Elliott and Aric Almirola – are expected to pull double duty and compete in both races over the weekend. Continue reading →

Since Michael Waltrip Racing bowed out of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, there were a lot of employees, not just drivers, looking for a place with other teams. For two drivers, Clint Bowyer and David Ragan, they were able to get rides for 2016 and beyond securing their future. It’s always a roller coaster when drivers and other crew members are left to find work elsewhere when their company closes due to lack of ownership or funding. Continue reading →

Pocono Raceway Steps Up On Safety

Pocono Raceway has recently installed longer walls along pit road after Kasey Kahne and Jeb Burton spun out in the exact location off turn three and on pit road during practice and the start of the Windows 10 400 back in late August. Both Burton and Kahne had hit nearly the same area in consecutive days. It was Kahne who had the bigger hit when he not only hit the pit road wall, he also sent helmets and other equipment flying. Kahne was pretty well shook up from the incident while being interviewed. Continue reading →
