The Penske Files

Team Penske is putting together some pranks for 2014 season that are keeping fans entertained by their drivers in IndyCar and NASCAR. These pranks are now in a series called ‘The Penske Files.’  Sounds intriguing right?

There Was No Denying Kevin Harvick in Phoenix

There are some days when a driver dominates and then there are some when a driver annihilates the field. Kevin Harvick had a stellar day in the desert on Sunday. Once he got out front early in the event, he didn’t look back for a second. He was able to control the race and at the end of the day, that put him in victory lane for the third time in the last four Phoenix races. His sponsor Jimmy John’s has the catch phrase “freaky-fast” which describes their service, but in this race it was describing the man behind the wheel. Continue reading

Team Penske Wants Their Name Back in the 2014 Title Fight

Following a very strong 2012 came a rather disappointing 2013 for Team Penske. Brad Keselowski wasn’t able to back his championship up as he didn’t even qualify for the Chase. Joey Logano came in and was most successful for the team, but he wasn’t able to save the championship from falling out of Team Penske’s hands. With 2013 behind Team Penske, they now have their eyes set on returning to winning ways in 2014. Looking back on 2013, NASCAR had a remarkable year. From storylines galore to scandals that challenged the sport’s credibility, NASCAR never stayed quiet. Going into the year, there were many more questions than answers. Fans wondered what was to come from all the ‘newness’ the sport was expecting which included the Gen 6 car and drivers in new rides. Whatever went into this season, it made for one exciting year. The lesson learned throughout 2013 was to expect the unexpected because the year in NASCAR featured truly unexpected events.
