In the inaugural NASCAR night race at Kansas Speedway, Kyle Busch put on quite the show. He led 104 laps en route to his first career NCWTS win at the track.
He began the race from the pole and led early despite numerous caution periods that occurred in the first 35 laps.
The biggest challenge Busch faced throughout the night came from Brad Keselowski Racing. Joey Logano had a very strong truck, but he could not manage to hold off the No.51 truck for long. Logano’s teammate Ryan Blaney also gave Busch a run for his money on multiple restarts. Continue reading →
Though the next race for the Camping World Truck Series isn’t until May 9th at Kansas Speedway, many series regulars are competing on track this week.
More than a dozen teams spent Monday and Tuesday at Charlotte Motor Speedway testing for their upcoming race on Friday, May 16th. Teams tested from 1 to 9 pm each day to prepare for the fourth race on the 2014 schedule. This session will give competitors extended track time as they prepare to compete on a 1.5-mile track for the first time this season with the new truck body designs.
Timothy Peters and Jeb Burton are also competing in the Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown Thursday night, April 24th at South Boston Speedway. Both Peters and Burton have won many times at the track in late-model stock cars. Continue reading →

In fading sunlight, in the second race of a Sunday doubleheader at Martinsville Speedway, Matt Crafton beat polesitter Darrell Wallace Jr. to the finish line to win the Kroger 250 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event under yellow because of a last-lap accident. Continue reading →
Darrell Wallace Jr returns to Martinsville Speedway after making history last October by becoming the second African-American to win a NASCAR national series event – and the first in 50 years. And now, the 21-year-old looks to make more history at the .526-mile track.
After his win in October, Wallace celebrated with family members of the Wendell Scott family, who live in nearby Danville. Scott was the first African-American driver to win a national series event, in 1963. Wallace also comes to Martinsville looking to improve his place in the standings after getting collected in a mid-race accident at Daytona. Continue reading →
