Patrick Staropoli’s Dream Challenge Continues for 2014

PEAK Stock Car Dream Challenge winner Patrick Staropoli continues ‘living the dream’ as his great début performance last season in NASCAR’s K&N Pro Series West continues with a five race deal for 2014.

At Spokane Country Raceway last year, Staropoli showed that he is more than ready to pilot a Bill McAnally Racing prepared entry in NASCAR’s K&N Pro Series West. Last season, Staropoli recorded a top-five finish in his NASCAR début, then went on to BMR’s home track, All American Speedway and recorded a sixth-place finish. With two starts under his belt, the Plantation, FL resident is ready to put his No. 99 PEAK car into victory lane.  Continue reading

Thorn Celebrates First K&N Pro Series West Championship

Gaulding Grabs Record-Setting Phoenix Victory

Gray Gaulding won the Casino Arizona 50 on Saturday night at Phoenix International Raceway, while Derek Thorn was celebrating the series championship.

From Lakeport, CA, Thorn earned his first NASCAR K&N Pro Series West Championship with a 15th-place finish – enough to hold off a trio of strong contenders. Cameron Hayley snagged second place by a mere six points, with 2011 series champion Greg Pursley in third (-16) and Michael Self taking fourth (-24).  Anyone watching the series knows there has been a hot contest in the west with these four contenders exchanging the lead throughout the season.  Continue reading

Cameron Hayley earns his first career K&N Pro Series West Win

It was an exciting finish with Cameron Hayley dueling it out with race leader Derek Thorn after the ninth and last restart of the Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts 150 Saturday night at All American Speedway, and earning his first career NASCAR K&N Pro Series West victory.

The 17-year-old Hayley from Calgary, Alberta, battled Thorn for the last five laps and made an impressive move on the outside to take the lead with four laps remaining to capture his first win in a championship points race.

For Hayley it was a breakthrough victory, in his 32nd career start and after five runner-up finishes.  Continue reading
