Five Hot Drivers to Watch as the Sprint Cup Series Heads to Atlanta

The 58th Daytona 500 belonged to Toyota with Joe Gibbs Racing and now teams are heading to Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Folds of Honor Quik Trip 500 on Sunday.

Drivers competing with the Chevrolet bow tie showed some promise up front early at Daytona with four of their drivers finishing in the top-ten. The blue Ford oval put one driver in the top-ten and that was now former Daytona 500 champion, Joey Logano.

Ruling the World Center of Racing at Daytona was Toyota as the most successful manufacturer with three drivers from Joe Gibbs Racing finishing in the top-five. So, with NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams heading into Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend, it makes sense that JGR drivers dominate the hottest drivers to watch list. Continue reading →

With the World Center of Racing taking a spotlight tomorrow for the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway, two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stars are teaming up with  Homeland Security for the “If You See Something, Say Something™” campaign.

The new Public Service Announcements/PSA, which feature Kyle Busch and Dale Earnhardt Jr, and are on display this weekend at the Daytona 500. Since 2011, The Department of Homeland Security has partnered with NASCAR to create public service announcements and digital awareness products through the “If You See Something, Say Something™” campaign. ’18 RISING PRESENTED BY TOYOTA’ SHOWCASES KYLE BUSCH’S CHAMPIONSHIP RUN SATURDAY, FEB. 20 AT 2 P.M. ET ON NBC

Saturday at 2 p.m. ET NBC revisits the amazing comeback story of 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion Kyle Busch. The one-hour special, 18 Rising Presented by Toyota, chronicles Busch’s inconceivable year. The journey began with a hard crash and broken bones in Daytona, followed by a tough recovery that spanned 11 regular-season races, then finished with a dominating march to Miami that climaxed with a Sprint Cup Championship.

The special brings viewers behind the scenes with Busch during the off-season, showcasing tender moments at home with his wife Samantha and young son Brexton. Cameras also follow Busch and race team owner Joe Gibbs to the Toyota factory in Georgetown, KY, where they visit with workers, share stories and offer photos with the Sprint Cup trophy.
