Kobalt Social Media Command Center to debut NASCAR Weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Las Vegas Motor Speedway is taking social networking to a new level with the brand-new Kobalt Social Media Command Center during the March 7-10 NASCAR Weekend.

The social media hub, located in the Neon Garage, will host computers accompanied by large video monitors and screens that will give fans a live view of social networking by some of the top personalities in NASCAR. Guests from Team Lowe’s Racing, NASCAR, LVMS, Sprint and news media will take seats regularly in the command center to communicate with fans and share real-time information throughout the weekend. Feeds from drivers, fans, race teams and sponsors will be tracked and displayed on monitors from the second floor of the Neon Garage. Continue reading →

We have an extra 30 mins and will start our show at 8:30pm ET and run a full 90 minutes with a full house and some Fan4Racing announcements, you’ll want to hear.

Starting at 8:30pm ET with our guest Sergio Pena, fans will have a chance to interact and ask questions. Sergio Pena, has been featured on SPEED’s Race Hub and has participated in NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity program. Also joining us at 8:30pm ET is our media guest Brian Berg Jr from Rant Sports.

At 9:00pm ET our media guest Jim Utter, from The Charlotte Observer and That’s Racin’ will join our Fan4Racing team discussion and again fans will have a chance to interact with our guest.

Las Vegas headliner Marie Osmond will sing the national anthem prior to the March 10 Kobalt Tools 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

“As a NASCAR fan, I admire every element of this sport: the strategy, the choreography of a pit stop, the thrill of the race, but especially the blend of personalities of the drivers and their attention to their fans of every age,” Osmond said. “I’m honored and happy to be invited to open the Kobalt Tools 400 by singing the national anthem.” Continue reading →
