Harsh Words from Ryan Sieg toward Ryan Reed following Pocono Garage Altercation

An on-going track feud between drivers Ryan Reed and Ryan Sieg escalated Saturday afternoon at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway when a red flag for rain halted the NASCAR XFINITY Series debut at the 2.5-mile triangle just past the halfway point.

Tension between the two drivers from last weekend’s race at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway carried over to Pocono and only deepened when the two made contact on Lap 24.

The contact sent Sieg into the turn one wall and eventually to pit road where he lost two laps for repairs.

Sieg vented his frustration to the Roush Fenway Racing driver in the garage area during the rain delay which ended with expletive words, pushing and shoving. Continue reading

Holding off a hard-charging rookie, the veteran ARCA Racing Series champion Grant Enfinger brought the GMS Racing No. 23 to the General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible200 checkered flag and victory lane on Friday, June 3rd. The rookie, Austin Cindric was gaining ground over the last ten laps, forcing Enfinger to race hard on the last three laps while trying to save enough fuel to finish the race.  Continue reading

Unprecedented Industry Collaboration Triggers NASCAR’s Earliest Schedule Release

NASCAR today announced the 2017 schedules for its three national series, giving fans and stakeholders a significant head start in planning for next season’s thrilling slate.

A credit to unprecedented industry collaboration, specifically the five-year sanctioning agreement between NASCAR and its tracks, the sanctioning body finalized its 2017 schedules months ahead of previous years’ release.

NASCAR XFINITY Series teams are off for one more week before heading to Texas Motor Speedway next weekend for the O’Reilly Auto Parts 300. Teams will prepare to race 200 laps covering 300 miles at Texas on Friday, April 8th with FOX Sports 1 coverage beginning at 8 pm ET and a green flag around 8:30 pm ET. Thrilling Competition Continues at Fontana with

Track-Record 51 Passes for the Lead

The high quality of racing produced in the first four races of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season continued at Auto Club Speedway on Sunday, where drivers tallied a total of 51 green flag passes for the lead, a high at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana since loop date began in 2005.

That marks the second time in the first five races this season for setting a new track record of green flag passes for the lead, as Atlanta had 44 green flag passes for the lead. Continue reading
